The objective of the course is to develop the capacities of operational level (i.e. mid-career officials) border security personnel as well as strengthen national institutional capacities to manage issues relating to radicalization, extremism, and terrorism in West Africa and its Sahel territories through training. It also aims at supporting sub-regional efforts at preventing and countering the threat of extremism and terrorism through border control mechanisms.

Cette formation vise à développer des compétences techniques et à adopter une approche intégrée de la gestion de la menace à la sécurité transnationale. Ces menaces incluent l’extrémisme, la radicalisation, le terrorisme et le crime organisé sur les différentes frontières du Mali.
The course is designed to enhance the capacity of police officers to effectively cope with handling of SGBV challenges faced in post conflict and stable environments. It also seeks to complement and enhance in-mission SGBV generic training. It is further aimed at contributing to professional ways of handling SGBV survivors, and investigating SGBV cases.
